Every year tens of thousands of dolphins are unnecessarily and cruelly killed in places like Taiji, Japan. Along with dolphins, other marine animals are killed by fishing nets, plastic pollution, algae blooms, industrial/agricultural runoff, and climate change. Our oceans and beaches are being destroyed by these environmental challenges and societies negative actions.
We’re two teen girls from a small beach town in San Diego. We’ve been blessed to have grown up in the ocean and on the beach. We fell in love with dolphins, the ocean, and beaches. We’ve had so much fun on the beach. We are both environmentalists. Because of our love for dolphins, marine animals, the ocean, and the beach we started “The Original Surfers.”
Our environmental movement is all about raising awareness among teens. We figure if teens love dolphins, marine animals, the ocean, and beaches like us, then we can all take on this fight together.
