Every year Dolphins are hunted and killed at the Faroe Islands
The Faroe Islands is a “semiautonomous” Danish archipelago (small group or chain of islands) of about 53,000 people located between Norway and Iceland. Every year whales and dolphins are hunted and killed in the Faroe Islands. In a recent hunt, over 1400 White sided dolphins were slaughtered.
Local news published outrageous photos and videos of dolphins being dragged up in bloody waters. Similar to the Dolphin slaughter in Taiji, Japan. Boats herd dolphins into the Bay.
Dead dolphins on the beach
The Dolphins are beached. The images suggest that the Dolphins had been run over by boats. Some were killed by severing their spinal cords. This devastation of dolphins is shocking and unspeakable, just heartbreaking. The Sea Shepherd Conservation Society made a photo available that showed dead white sided dolphins laying dead on the beach. Our first reaction was trying to hold back tears of compassion.
Outrage!!!! At Dolphins Dying
Our second reaction is outrage. Our goal is to persuade the Faroese government and or international community to stop these, all too common atrocities of killing dolphins for meat. Please help us protect and save dolphins, marine animals and the ocean. Please follow the original servers on Instagram and tell your friends and family about us.
We’re pissed, to be completely truthful.
And guess what – so should you!!
