Hmm, National Ocean Day is coming up on June 8…
While thinking about what to write, I couldn’t help but start remembering all the wonderful beach I’ve been to around the world.
I remember the rocky beaches of El Salvador where, one day, I was out surfing with my family and my leash fell off from my ankle and my board may or may not have accidentally hit the rocks.
Or, the absolutely stunning beaches in Santorini. The water was so beautiful and oh so clear!
But some of my favorite beaches are the ones that aren’t as famous and “Pinterest worthy.” I love Torrey Pines and Del Mar, It’s where I grew up and it’ll always hold a special place in my heart.
So, for this National Ocean Day, I’m going to take time to appreciate my local beaches. Even though they’re not as beautiful or exciting as El Salvador or Greece, I never would’ve fallen in love with Mother Nature’s oceans if I didn’t get to spend a majority of my childhood at the beach!
